Sometimes a patient needs a medication in a strength that isn't available commercially. This requires the patient to divide pills or take the medication more often. As a compounding pharmacy, we can adjust the medication's strength to better fit the patient. For example, if a pill is available only in a 5mg strength, and the physician prescribes a 2.5mg dose, the patient is left to cutting the pill. As a compounding pharmacy, we can create capsules with the 2.5mg dosage. No more dividing pills.

Pediatric medicine is one of our specialties. We all know how difficult it can be to administer medications to children. Many antibiotics, taken orally, have a horribly bitter taste. As a compounding pharmacy, we are able to add flavorings to these medications to make them more palatable, and thus easier for the child to take. Some medications can also be compounded as lollipops, providing another way of getting the child the medicine he/she needs.

Sometimes patients who take many medications have difficulty remembering if they are current in their dosing. Counting pills and doing the math can be tedious. For this, we offer blister packs which make following the daily doses of pills easy. For solutions, we offer dosing syringes, which make dispensing the solution in an appropriate amount easy.
